After going on hiatus at the start of the pandemic, we are thrilled to announce that Checkmark Productions will be reopening this Fall!
OUR UPCOMING READING SERIES
After initially being slated for the Spring of 2020, Checkmark will be continuing plans to produce our second reading series of three, new plays in the Fall of 2024, each written and directed by artists of the global majority. Each play’s creative team will be provided with 29 hours of rehearsal, feedback from the Checkmark Staff, casting assistance, a public presentation for peers and industry professionals, and stipends matching New York City’s Living Wage of $26/Hour.
At its best, Checkmark gathers likeminded creatives around work that pushes boundaries and provides space where artists are both seen and challenged. We are so looking forward to welcoming three new playwrights, directors, casts, and production team members to this new era of Checkmark, and we hope you continue following us for more info!
